Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy describes the data we process when you visit trylayers.ai or contact us, and the rights you hold over that data.

Data controller

The data controller is Clément LUCAS EI (Layers), 15 rue des Jardiniers, 75012 Paris, France. For any question about your data, write to bonjour@trylayers.ai.

Data collected on this site

This marketing site has no forms, no user accounts and no advertising trackers. Reading the pages only feeds an anonymous audience measurement, described below.

If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message, for the sole purpose of replying.

The Layers product itself, accessible after sign-in, is covered by a separate processing agreement described in your contract with us.

Purposes and legal bases

Answering your requests: legitimate interest in following up on an enquiry you initiated.

Measuring the site's audience anonymously: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, to improve it.

Keeping the site secure and available: legitimate interest in protecting our infrastructure.

Meeting accounting and tax obligations where applicable: legal obligation.

Audience measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are read and where visits come from. It sets no cookies and cannot identify you: each visit is tied to an identifier computed from the request, renewed every day and never stored.

The information collected (page viewed, referring site, country, device type, browser and operating system) is only used as aggregated statistics.

We also use Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how fast pages display in your browser (load time, layout stability, responsiveness). It sets no cookies and only collects these technical measurements, used in aggregate.

Retention periods

Email exchanges are kept for three years from the last contact, then deleted. Technical logs are kept for the period our hosting provider applies, as stated in its own documentation.

Recipients and processors

Your data is never sold, rented or transferred. Only the team members who need it can access it.

We use the following processors: Vercel Inc., to serve the site and measure its audience; Cal.com, Inc., for online meeting booking (name, email address and the details entered when booking); Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace), for email. Each is bound by a processing agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some processors may handle data outside the European Union. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or on an adequacy decision. Details are available on request at bonjour@trylayers.ai.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies.

The booking calendar, provided by Cal.com, may set cookies it needs to work, only when you display it: on the contact page, or when you open a booking. They are covered by Cal.com's privacy policy.

Three preferences are stored in your browser: the theme, light or dark; the site version, for humans or for AI; and your reading position when you switch language. They never leave your device, are never sent to us, and disappear when you clear the site data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise them, write to bonjour@trylayers.ai. We answer within one month.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, or with the supervisory authority of your own country.
